That is phenomenal!!!!! a 7.1 A1C, That is great to hear. That is good that he is still continuing soccer and has a 4.0 in school. As you know, exercise is very important in managing Diabetes. Tell Calvin congratulations on all his achievements and keep up the excellent work!!

Thanks so much for all your concerns and care. Calvin is moving through life with vigor and exuberance. His latest A1C was 7.1, and he has nothing but a 4.0 for the past two years. He still plays soccer, and is a top defender on a top team in the local area. I can't believe how much he's grown in the three years since this video! He's 5'7" and 160lbs now!

I have type 1 Diabetes also. I am almost 16 now and was diagnosed at age 7 on Memorial Day of 2000, so I understand EVERYTHING you are going through. It is not easy living with Diabetes, but I am glad to hear that you are on a pump. Just keep fighting son, and god bless you. P.S., I have a very good A1C, I'm in the top 4 of the 400 or so that go to my clinic, so if you want tips, please send me a message and I'd be happy to help you or anyone elese that wants advice.

You are a very brave boy. My son, aged 8, was diagnosed this year when he was 7. It is a very hard daily battle. Hopefully a cure will be found soon. Stay positive and enjoy your soccer. God bless.
